520 Class 4-8-4 Mountain

Like the 500 class, and for the same reason, the 520 class were also known as "Mountain Types". However, these locomotives were much lighter, had wider route availability, and were used more exclusively on passenger workings.

More from SA - in 1991 I think at the first Adelaide Grand Prix - a steam "race" out of the bizarre futuristic looking Adelaide station. These locos are 621, 520 and Rx207 - all of which you already have well documented on your website. Note the helicopter!
