The Queensland section is thin, since I have not lived or travelled much within the state. However, there are a few relevant photos, and as I gather more material, this section will expand.

One of the most versatile locomotive in Queensland, 227 were built 1920-1953 by a number of constructors. Taken out of service 1954-56. Final 40 known affectionately as the 'Brown Bombers'. Returned to service in May 2000. (taken from the Zig Zag Railway Page )
These locos are a more modern version of the earlier 1460 class. The units 1500 and 1501 are actually the earlier 1460 class but had large resistor bank in front of the driver and observers window for the dynamic breaking feature only found on about 4, 5 or 6 of this class.
