  • Description : A Beeching era diesel hauled-passenger train arrives at Dullingham (near Cambridge). I was an intending passenger, and was rather miffed that it was not steam-hauled!

  • Description : I think this lovely old station is/was the Granton-on-Spey railway station, here disused as a railway station, but a thriving tourist centre! According to the current Strathspey Railway page, the Strathspey line is being extended to Granton, so maybe this station will see railway use again!

  • Description : A scene that I knew well before ever visiting the site of one of Britain's modern railway disasters: the Harrow and Wealdstone multiple collision of 1954. I timed the train as it went through the station: 92 mph! Fortunately, there wasn't a local pass waiting at the time.
